Bharatiya Janata Party– A party which works on a slogan -“NATION is FIRST”. This party believes in true ‘National’ politics, where every Indian, irrespective of his caste, creed or religion is an Indian first. It doesn’t believe in narrow politics of compartmentalisation and division of society. This party’s agenda is to unite people on the basis of their love for the country and this is a unique feature which differentiate is from other local or national parties.
In last four year this government has performed a drastic change in India politics and somehow some other parties are not able to feed it.
Here I am enlisting some of their best polices/actions which other parties not even dare to think and one one man vision is building the whole show.
Shri Modi ji outlined an eight point key development model, with detailed initiatives on each, to put India back on high growth path and deliver good governance to the citizens.
#MODIMANTRA-The India of tomorrow is looking at empowerment, faster connectivity, more jobs, better education and improved quality of life. The Good Governance model of Shri Narendra Modi, enrapturedly referred to as #ModiMantra.
The achievements of Modi’s Government are entitled below:-
1. Make in India & Digital India
Narendra Modi government has taken a lot of initiatives to directly impact the common people. Make in India was announced to make sure that MNCs start their plans in the country, resulting in generating employment and contributing to the economy.
Make in India has gathered a great momentum and many countries have signed deals with respective state governments and the central government to boost FDI and employment.
Also, initiatives like Digital India has paved a way for future and brought millions of citizens in the mainstream economy. Also, the promotion of e-ways, which promises broadband connectivity in all villages by 2020, will prove to be a great catalyst in the success in future.
2. National health protection plan
The National Health Protection Scheme (NHPS) is one of the boldest initiatives of the Modi government. It will provide medical insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh to 500 million low-income Indians. The scheme is budgeted to cost around Rs 10,000 crore annually (though critics say the cost could exceed Rs 80,000 crore).
Set to roll out on October 2, 2018, it is a long overdue step towards providing universal medical care. Setting up tertiary rural healthcare centres is obviously crucial for the scheme to work on the ground. It is a challenge the government faces given the rudimentary health clinics in rural areas and the shortage of qualified doctors.
3. Rural Electrification
Rural electrification has been a major policy success. While last-mile connectivity has left many villages without power, the pace of rural electrification has been quickest in India’s history – pre- and-post Independence.
4. Jan Dhan Yojna
Other standout successes have been the Jan Dhan Yojana, which has created over 312 million new bank accounts, the direct benefit transfer (DBT) scheme, which has significantly cut pilferage, and subsidised LPG cylinders for the poor. Beyond these is the absence of corruption in the higher echelons of the government.
5. Improved International relations
Foreign policy has been among the top Modi achievements. Narendra Modi has often been criticized by the opposition for so many foreign tours. However, none of us can ignore the fact that his travels have made a lot of friends for the country. Be it about those warm hugs with Barak Obama or attending Ganga Aarti with Japanese PM Shinzo Abe, Narendra Modi has made friends with the biggest diplomats of the world. It is because of his dynamic leadership that UAE spoke openly against Pakistan sponsored terrorism. India has extended financial help to countries like Bangladesh, Nepal, and Afghanistan and that has resulted in increased regional influence. Also, launching the South Asian satellite will come a long way in India’s plans to become next Asian superpower.
6. Increased Internal Security
Though tension of border still persists and there are continuous ceasefire violations by Pakistan, resulting in regular casualties of the soldiers and internal threats like Maoists, India has come a long way in securing the internal parts from jihadi terrorists. Over the last few years, there has been a big crackdown on the number of terrorists caught by the security forces and a lot of plans have been derailed. Communal violence has come down to a significant level and finally, the country can look forward to focus on mainstream issues
7. Special focus on rural India
Pradhan Mantri Ujwala Yojna has been one of the most appreciated schemes by the current government. The way central government involved the normal people by asking them to give up their subsidies to help the rural women with access to clean energy, has been widely appreciated. Also, schemes like Krishi Sinchai Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojna, and Sukanya Samridhi Yojna have been directly focused for the rural population to increase their standard of life.
Recently, the government has also announced the electrification of 100% Indian villages. Though, it has taken over 70 years since independence, it is no small feat, considering there were over 18,000 villages without electricity before Narendra Modi became the prime minister.
8. A government with a clean Image
In India, politics is often considered as synonym os corruption. Though the previous government came under huge criticism for scandals like CWG, Coalgate and 2G spectrum, the present government has not faced any such corruption charges and the politicians have worked with commitment and that is one big modi achievement.
Prime Minister has led his team with an example by not taking a single day leave in his tenure. Also, initiatives like the ban of beacons have grown the connection between common citizens and the government. Ministers like Sushma Swaraj and Suresh Prabhuare often seen directly communicating to people on Twitter and answering their queries, Narendra Modi too holds regular Man ki Baat program to talk on general issues.
The Mumbai–Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor is an under-construction high-speed rail line connecting the cities of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and India’s economic hub Mumbai, Maharashtra. It will be India’s first high-speed rail line.
Construction of the corridor was began by August 2018 by acquiring land for Sabarmati terminus, and the first high speed train is scheduled to leave for its first run on 15 August 2022
These were some of the achievements of the Modi government in the last 4 years. Though there are a lot more issues to be addressed in the next few years, the government has surely instilled a feeling of hope among the citizens by making them realize their roles and responsibilities. Let’s hope that the government will continue to achieve its vision and India will grow with more speed and hence we can say its the future of India.
In 2019, election will happen again and all of us will need to choose a government for the betterment of India.
